Ocean Harmony is about to join forces with a neighbouring choir to raise money for a vital cancer charity.

Wessex Cancer Support’s Totton-based Sing for Life mixed choir will perform alongside OH at Colbury Memorial Hall on Sunday, March 8 (2.30pm-4.30pm).

The mixed choir is one of four - the others are at Salisbury, Cosham and Isle of Wight - that sing under the Wessex Cancer Support banner. The organisation has been providing free emotional and wellbeing support for anyone affected by cancer in Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight for 45 years.

Long-standing OH member Dudley Stone also runs the Sing for Life choir which meets each Wednesday, just a mile down the road at Hounsdown.

He said: “We have all the ingredients for a wonderful concert. In many ways the choirs are very different but that will give the day a perfect blend - and there will be one or two other acts on the day.

“Singing is such a rewarding hobby and therefore such an enjoyable way of raising money for Wessex Cancer Support.”
